Welcome to Ilex

Ilex urc was established to promote the physical, economic and social regeneration of Derry~Londonderry and has specific responsibility to manage and re-develop two former military bases of Ebrington (26 acres) and Fort George (14 acres). Mixed-use development is envisaged for both sites and revitalisation of the riverfront is a key objective. Derry~Londonderry has a population of over 107,000 and a hinterland of 350,000.

Views Sought on Play Facilities for the Council area

Ilex, Derry City Council and Derry Children's Commission are producing a Play Plan to determine future needs across the Council area. We would encourage the public to share their views on play provision for the future of the area by clicking on the relevant link below.

ILEX confirms funding for Foot & Cycle Bridge

Ilex, the Urban Regeneration Company for Derry~Londonderry today confirmed that they have received the letter of offer from the Special European Union Programmes Body (SEUPB) under the PEACE III programme to build a foot and cycle bridge from former military base, Ebrington to the rear of the Guildhall.
